Recently, Norwegian Drilling platform owner Awilco Drilling announced that it has signed a letter of intent for the construction of 1+3 semi-submersion Drilling platforms in the far east. The semi-submersible drilling platform can operate in bad sea condition, the price is about $425 million, of which the first contract in addition to about $30 million in shipyard supervision, commissioning, spare parts and tools cost, not including the cost of drilling platform to mobilize.

It is understood that the delivery time of the new semi-submersible drilling platform is set for 2021, but according to the contract terms, Awilco can choose to delay delivery according to the situation. The platform will be designed with Moss CS 60 Eco-MW design, the maximum operating depth can be up to 1500 meters, the variable deck load capacity is 5000 tons, and can provide accommodation for 140 people.
